Weight Management Suggestions & Info

  • BMI (BODY MASS INDEX) - Measures the relationship of your weight to your height. It is used to determine risk for weight related diseases.  Normal ranges 18.5 - 24.99  To determine your BMI go to    http://www.bmi-calculator.net/   25 and above - health risk range

  • Starvation - PLEASE DO NOT STARVE YOURSELVES!  Starving yourself to loose weight can actually backfire and cause the opposite desired result.  The body has a minimal required calorie need. The mininiun calorie requirement for women is 1200 calories for men 1500. Eating less calories than needed will cause your body to conserve energy, therefore stalling weight loss.                         

  • Foods To Avoid - Refined sugurs, cakes, deep fried or scalloped foods, if you can avoid drinking alcoholic beverages, white rice & flour, replace with wholegrain flour & brown/wild rice. Avoid Sugary juices and foods that are high in sodium.

  • Cooking Suggestions -  Veggies, Veggies, Veggies! Veggies can be steamed, sauteed etc.- use olive oil or a light pan spray. Meats can be roasted/baked, grilled, broiled. Use natural herbs to flavor. Get a cookbook yall and LET"S GET IT!! Get creative!!

  • NO MEAL SKIPPING!! - Eat your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don't forget your healthy snacks in between. My doctor suggests eating carbs if any earlier in the day as possible ex. breakfast - whole grain toast. avoid carbs late in the day when you are less likely to burn them. Lunch and dinner should be high in protein and veggies. My doctor also suggests eating a lean piece of meat or a protein shake before bed. and those of you are vegeterians continue what you are doing with the veggies but cut the heavy cheeses perhaps. I am not trained in this area but if you need info please email me and I will do some research on low fat veg foods.

It's Day 22 - WEEK 3!!LET'S GET IT! Core Ab & Oblique Work





Day 22 - Week 3!! In cruise mode - Absolute Vanity 12 Week Challenge Baby!!

It's been 3 weeks already! I am proud to say I have consistently continued my commitment to myself and you. It has not been easy getting back on the saddle riding this wave each day. As a former workout enthusiast, now completely out of shape, it's a struggle to get through some of the mid level exercises. Today I went crazy doing sit-ups - targeting my core abs and obliques. YES!! I can still fell the burn. My son walked into my bedroom and recorded me.lol So cute!

Day 12 - I lost 3 inches in my waist!!!

Last night my assistant Tony, gave me one of our Absolute Vanity Body Wraps (Slimming- Anti- Cellulite).
See picture below. And no, my waist is not wrapped only in saran wrap LOL! Beneath the saran wrap are bandages soaked in cellulite reducing ingredients & caffeine to aide in slenderizing. I lost 3 inches in my waist.

Day 12- I have lost 8lbs

Yes it is day 12!  I am nearing the end of week 2 of the Absolute Vanity 12 Week Challenge and yes, I have lost 8lbs!! It's been really hard but worth it none the less. A clean diet consisting lots of veggies, whole grain cereals, lean meats, protein shakes, and lots of water - is the name of the game! And yes I have cheated a little. The key to cheating is once it happens don't beat yourself up, savor the mishap and next meal or snack, get back to it!! I have enjoyed my Zumba Fitness classes dearly!! It's a serious 1 hour, high cardio workout yet you don't feel as though you are working out. Zumba dancing is FUN!!!
This evening my assistant beauty advisor will give me one of the Absolute Vanity Detox Body Wraps. I will post pictures and results next post... stay tuned.

DAY 5 - ABSOLUTE VANITY CHALLENGE

I enjoyed myself dearly last night, I indulged in a delicious slice of homemade german chocolate cake!! Yes, it had coconut, pecans, and all that gooey stuff i love!


Today I am back on my grind! I have the day off, yet the challenge is still on!! I awoke made a delicious 3 egg white omelette with lowfat cheddar cheese, spinach, mushrooms and onion.

I gave myself a gylcolic peel. Please DO NOT try gylcolic peels @ home. Glycolic peels should only be administered by a licensed esthetician like myself or a dermatologist. It is an awesome treatment!! It unveils healthy glowing skin, treats acne, oily skin, blackheads, hyperpigmentation, increase tone & texture of skin & decreases wrinkles. When done in a series over a period of time you 
really see results.
